Andy warhol
Andy Warhol, was a very famous american artist who expressed the need to create pop art. He was born in 1928 and died in 1987. He drew several famous works of art that you may know the names of. One of which was the Campbell's Soup Can, painted in the 1960's and 70's. He claimed that he ate Campbell's soup for most of his life. Not only was he famous for his paintings but because of everything he participatedi in. He starred in many movies, books, and magazines. He was soon niccknamed the pop pope. It was first in the 1950's- when Warhol was 22 years old, that his paintings were first recognized. This is a picture of Andrew Warhol, painted by Jake Mitchell.
Leoanardo DA VINCI
Leoanardo Da Vinci was one of the most popular artists in the time of the Renaissance, he was born in Florence, in the small town of Vinci. He was the proud painter of The Mona Lisa. Rumor has it that Leo wanted to perfect the painting so much, it took him 20 years to finish painting the lips! Leoanardo was born in 1452 and died in 1519. He was a man of imagination and curiosity. Historians have found plans for a flying machine that he himself designed. They were in the shape of bat wings, but failed on attempt to fly. He liked to write in journals and notebooks, and observed all the details around him.That's why people beleive that the Mona Lisa was one of the most beautiful and detailed paintings in the world.
eDVARD MUNCH
Edvard Munch was born in 1863 in Norway. He is famous for his many expressionist paintings. Edvard Munch's most famous painting was of the Scream. Late one afternoon, Edcard saw the sky tuen red... when he got home he drew it all onto what is known today by the Scream, which describes all the horror he was feeling when the sky changed color. Another of his artworks is called the yellow log. Sadly, Edvard Munch died in 1944.
