STYLES OF ART
There are many styles of art. Styles of art describe the type of drawing your'e creating. Here are just a few of them-
POP ART
Pop Art is a style of art when an artist takes something ordinary and makes it come to life. Pop art is sort of like 3D art and makes the viewer experience an ordinary item in a more colorful way. You can often find pop art in comic strips. In the example shown, the artist takes lips and paints it in a different color and background each time.
SURREALISM
Surrealism is when you make paintings that look like a dream. The images in surrealism have a dreamy air to them, and often include real things pretending to be other things. The images in surrealism catch your eye in a mysterious way. In the example shown, the clouds are turning themselves into hot air balloons.
ABSTRACT ART
Abstract art is a type of art when you can draw random shapes, use random colors, and express your random feelings.Theres only one word to describe abstract art and that is- RANDOM! Abstract art is when you can draw virtually anything you want without using real things. For example, the drawing on your left is just a combination of mixed up colors and weird lines. The challenge in abstract art is to describe and paint your feelings without drawing what you're actually thinking.
CUBISM
Cubism art is when you paint pictures that are real life, but you draw the item in weird shapes. You could use squares, triangles, and hexagons to make that real item look as not real as possible. In cubism, the artist uses bright bold colors to make their painting stand out. In the example shown, the artist draws the vase of flowers in different crazy shapes, and uses bright colors. The goal of cubism art is to make something look as cartoony as possible.
POINTILLISM
Pointillism is when you take real items and draw them in the same way.. but by using dots. The dots will combine together to look like a painting of a real thing from far away. The example image is a picture of an island painted by using pointillism. The dots form the picture.
realism
Realism is when you make your painting as realistic as possible. This is the opposite of abstract art and cubism art. In realistic art you try to fit all the details in, from the first eyelash to the nails on the finger. Realistic art is one of the most popular types of art. In the example, the girl is swinging on the swing by the countryside.
cARTOON ART
Cartoon art is widely popular among this generation. Kids, especially, love to talk about some of their favorite cartoon characters. Cartoon art is the sort of art you see when you switch on Nickelodeon on Saturday mornings. They are totally meant for your entertainment, and often include big smiles, funny shaped heads, and a cute, lovable character. Here you can see Patrick Star, a very famous, very funny, character from Spongebob, the popular kids cartoon. He is holding two ice cream's.
